♥ Christmas thank you cards from Christmas cards ♥

good evening.  i am sorry about not posting sooner, we had our Christmas celebration at my mother in law's house last night and it was fabulous.  we look forward to the time, family and memories made every year.  as promised, here are the cards i created using the fronts of some of the Christmas cards we received this year instead of throwing them away.  some of the cards i used the entire image, it was too cute to cut, and others, i cut away the image or sentiment depending on the idea that popped in my head.  i typed a sentiment on the computer, a repeated "thank you" sentiment in typewriter vintage kind of setting.  each card took me no longer than 3 minutes to create from beginning to end, and each card was re-read, re-loved and re-purposed.

here's the stack of some of the cards i used

on the larger images, like the ones below, i cut them down slightly, adhered my strip of "thank you" sentiment, stitched or stapled and adhered a glittered red heart cut with my Martha Stewart Punch

on the cards below, i cut sentiments or strips of sentiments from the various cards and adhered them to October Afternoon Silent Night line

i'll be back with more Christmas thank you cards created with the OA Silent Night line.

♥ thank you, thank you, thank you ♥

 and more thank yous.

I am using the October Afternoon Silent Night auction line on all my thank yous this year.

i have been cutting up our Christmas cards that we received from friends and family (not picture ones) and re-loving them, creating thank you cards from them.  i can't keep every card we receive, as much as i would love to, but i can re-love them and spread them around one more time.  it's easy to do and a lot of fun.

here's a "BEFORE" pic of the stack of cards we were blessed to read and hang through the season, come back tomorrow to see how quick and easy it is to cut them up and re-love them for thank yous.

and here are some thank you card created a day ago using the October Afternoon Silent Night line

♥ October Afternoon Christmas thank you cards ♥

hello♥
i hope this post finds you happy, healthy and enjoying leftovers of love and food from your Christmas and holiday celebrations.  we had a most beautiful Christmas and the time was very much needed.  the love and gifts always, always amaze me and with all the love that is poured upon my husband and i and are children, i like to create handmade Christmas thank you cards to send out.  today, i have started a few and thought i'd share here with all of you.

for these cards, i pulled out my October Afternoon Silent Night collection.  love, love this line and will be sharing some cards soon that show how versatile this line is, not just for Christmas for sure.

i have included a typed thank you message in all of my cards, even the ones that do not specifically say "thank you" on the outside of the card
